My experience working with Sam as a PT has been transformational. I'm not talking about silly diets and massive weight loss I'm talking about sustainable progress. I have had spinal surgery and disc issues in the past and had ground to a halt with most exercise having lost confidence and fearing potential pain. Sam worked with me to set up a sustainable doable workout plan that we built up over a period of around 3 months. He flexibly fit around my crazy work schedule and I progressed from just body weight squats to 3 sets of 12 with a 24kg kettle bell. Something I could never have imagined doing! My brother and I have been training with Sam for over a year and I could not recommend his PT services enough. When we started, we were relatively new to the concept of weight training, but Sam was on hand to teach us the form and techniques required to go from strength to strength.
He ensures to track the data of your workouts with him and will share his feedback during the sessions so you know exactly where you stand in relation to your progress. Sam goes beyond his remit by also providing advice on nutrition (which is invaluable as vegetarians) and also focuses on areas you would like to work on.
Overall, we've had a great experience training with Sam and we look forward to continuing to do so in the future.

Sam at Fitnitiative is a fantastic personal trainer! I started training with Sam in July 2021 with a specific goal in mind. Sam introduced me to various exercises but also provided very useful advice on nutrition, emphasising the importance of both aspects (training and food). Every PT session with Sam was physically challenging but enjoyable … exactly the approach that I asked for. Sam is very reliable and also happy to answer fitness or nutrition related questions even outside of the gym. I would absolute recommend Sam.
Sam is a brilliant PT. The sessions were tough but he went at a pace that suited me, my fitness levels and confidence increased quickly. During the pandemic he went above and beyond by providing suggestions for workouts I could do at home and regularly checking in. He is really knowledgeable and is always happy to answer any questions about different exercises and nutrition. All round great guy.
I have been working with him since August 2020. When I first started I was new to the gym and knew very little technique wise other than the basics. Sam educated me in an detailed but relatable way. As a result I now feel confident working out regularly. My strength and physique have also significantly improved noticeably.
I really enjoy Sam’s approach to training. He is really knowledgeable about the science behind training (both in terms of style/ technique but also nutrition). However, he let’s you guide him as to how much detail you want to go into. If your just starting out he can keep it simple, but if you want something more involved he can teach that too.
Other than that he’s just a nice person to spend an hour chatting to whilst working out.
Highly recommend Sams online coaching, he is very professional and supportive. I was able to work around my child & work to consistently lose weight and feel healthier within myself. Sam gave me home workout plans that supported how i felt physically, as well as the right foods to eat that helped my energy levels and lose weight in a healthy way without feeling like i was on a crazy "diet". Sam and I have been working together for nearly a year through a mixture of in person sessions and online training. He has a really calm demeanour and is super knowledgeable so I feel very confident in the program he has put in place for me. The online training has allowed me to make real progress without paying to join a gym and it’s made fitting workouts into my life really achievable. Lots of gentle encouragement though which works best for me. - Sam listens and responds to your needs - something not working? Have an issue with your knee like me? Sam will work with you to design sessions and exercises to help with that. - Sam has helped me figure out small things I can do now I’m working from home to help keep me active. - He communicates effectively, is responsive and during lockdown provided (for free) tips and exercises to keep me going.

I’ve never been one of those people who loves the gym or looks forward to exercise however since starting with Sam, i have enjoyed the whole experience and actually started looking forward to each session. I enjoy the use of a mixture of different equipment and exercises to keep it interesting and appreciate the fact he is always making sure i keep the right posture and adapts exercises to fit personal circumstances.
Sam is a brilliant PT who has grown into a friend over the two years we have been working together. He is so encouraging and makes every single session fun and relaxed. He is also incredibly accommodating and has been coming to my house to do sessions in the garden whilst the studio was closed. By far the best regular personal training I’ve ever had. No fads, no hype, great communication, good results and very much tailored to the individual. During lock down Sam always made the effort to get in touch to see if we needed any help with training and sent us programs to follow, something we didn’t expect him to do so he’s always going that little bit further for you.
Sam has been training me for over two years. He brings his experience and knowledge to create interesting and tailored sessions that push me to the limit. The work we have done has taken me a long way in terms of what i have been able to achieve. His encouragement to do that extra rep, hold on those extra few seconds, is also a strong feature of his training, as is his easy-going, friendly style that make the sessions "enjoyable" despite the intensity of the exercise. I took part in the free one month online personal training Sam offers and he makes it so easy to sign up and get started, and once I was using the app the workouts were easy to follow and 100% tailored to my needs but also really fun to do! All the exercises are clearly demonstrated and the workouts can be done whenever you have the time taking away the pressure to attend the session on time!! I feel a lot stronger and slimmer after doing the programme and so I recommend seeing if it works for you!!
Sam has been our personal trainer for over twelve months and counting. We first signed up with him on the buddy package, with the intention to improve our overall fitness and to lose weight over a three month period. We found the personal training sessions so enjoyable that we continued our sessions with him.
Training sessions are varied and engaging - Sam pushes you that bit further each time, yet keeps it still enjoyable so you return for the next session! He listens to what we would like to achieve and training plans are tailored accordingly to suit. He also provides useful advice on diet, home training and other tips; and added benefit to help us reach our goals.
In extended periods between sessions, Sam has provided us with training plans that we have been able to carry out whilst away from the gym. This has proved to be invaluable for us in maintaining our fitness levels and ensures that our return to the gym is seamless rather than starting back at square one. My partner and I work different hours which change on a weekly basis; we thought this would make regular training sessions difficult, but Sam has always flexible enough to accommodate us to suit our needs.
